A Discovery of Fossils and Mud-Formed Jaspers Our 36th annual Rock and Gem Show and Sale titled, Marvellous Mud - A Discovery of Fossils and Mud-Formed Jaspers, took place on October 25th and 26th 2014 from 10am to 5pm both days at Kyle Centre in Port Moody. The show featured a display of Burgess Shale fossil casts on loan to our club from the Royal Ontario Museum. Rod Bartlett, a fossil preparer, was also part of our show, demonstrating his craft. Additional displays included fossil fish from Fossil Lake in Wyoming, and a collection of leaf imprints from the Okanagan Highlands. Our lead case featured an amusing 'face off' between landscape and porcelain jaspers. Other show highlights included:
